Customer profile: Sakal group is a leading Publication company in Maharashtra & Goa having various Marathi and English Newspapers, Magazines on its board. Sakal have launched Marathi TV channel - SAAM TV with state-of-the-art facility and strong team in Mumbai.

The challenge: The main requirement of UPS system was for critical load of broadcasting & studio equipments, Data Center and high end critical servers. Single point failure is not at all accepted in the TV channel/ broadcasting application. Hence the requirement was for redundant UPS system.

The competition was with DB Power, APC and Emerson.

The solution: The actual load was 200KVA, customer required redundant solution - 2x200KVA UPS considering N+N redundancy. Thus total UPS capacity came to 400KVA. Here we offered 3x100KVA (Total 300KVA) Modular UPS solutions (30 modules of 10KVA capacity each). Thus the redundancy level increased by 10 modules instead of one 200KVA UPS as in conventional solution.

Key benefits: Instead of 400KVA capacity we offered 300KVA UPS system - saving to customer in terms of financial and space. Requirement of Air Conditioner size was less due to lower heat dissipation compare to conventional UPS systems. Due to higher efficiency of 96% , saving in electricity power usage was achieved.

Solution profile: Customer is happy since we have offered the modular UPS solution with 30 modules redundancy, the main purpose of redundancy is achieved. Sakal has been installing our modular UPS solution in their respective printing machines all over India.
